These screws are designed to solve the age old problem of how to remove the impossible to access, rear-most magneto cap hold down. Machined from one piece of aerospace grade 17-4 stainless steel, these screws offer unparalleled ease of installation and removal without any special tools.
By using a short standoff and a 1/4” hex, generator owners can slide the hardware into the cap, lower the cap over the mag body, and tighten all 4 bolts with an open end wrench.
Alternator applications also benefit from easier removal, and an increased level of fit and finish over the stock flathead screws which are prone to stripping.
Fits Joe Hunt, Morris and Fairbanks-Morse magnetos, and any cap with a 3/8” thick flange, including stock Bakelite caps and the Goodone cast aluminum cover.

Does not require any additional washers. Do not over torque, most of these mag bodies are 50 year old cast aluminum! A little past lightly seated is all that’s needed to seal moisture out.
